Hurting loss
India's World cup semi final defeat to New Zealand is still hurting millions of Indians. It was bound to happen one day and unfortunately it happened in the semi final game. Till then the top three were firing for India, especially Rohit, and Kohli perhaps hoped that the middle order problem will not hit them. But it did and knocked them out. The over dependence on the top three batsmen proved to be fatal for India. Dhoni and Jadeja still made a match of it with a brilliant partnership of 116 runs but it failed short. Whereas NZ captain Williamson batted with great composure Indian captain Kohli seemed to be nervous and anxious at the crease. Dhoni's runout was unlucky for India and it seemed as if it was NZ's day. We have to leave behind what happened and move on to tomorrow's final. England are favourites against NZ but so were we. Let us keep our fingers crossed. Ravindra Shenolikar
