He hired our common friend From childhood as employee When I heard I thought He had made a big mistake This friend's wife had Passed away and he was alone His daughter away for work He was given rental accommodation near the place of work We would gather there Occasionally on evenings To have drinks and talks Used to be quite fun While it lasted but Soon cracks developed To our dismay and Grew bigger till one day He was fired and the Old friendship was damaged Perhaps for ever Ravindra Shenolikar
