The tropic of cancer
Just finished reading this book by Henry Miller. It depicts the daily struggle of a young author who has left his wife in America and come to live in Paris. Getting a square meal every day is his major worry. His astounding reflections on life are very bold and unique and had created quite a stir at the time. He makes friends along the way who are similarly placed and life moves on in the wonderful city of Paris. You don't know what to make of the book. You are nevertheless left with a feeling that it was a enjoyable read, quite exceptional and original. Ravindra Shenolikar
